MG Motor India has today finally launched the new 2021 MG Hector Facelift in the country. The all-new MG Hector mid-size SUV was first launched in India in June 2019. In fact, Morris Garages entered the Indian market with this Hector mid-size SUV and it became an instant hit. The Hector became very popular, all thanks to its unique design language, decent powertrains, feature-loaded cabin, attractive price and after-sales package. Now, within two years of its launch, the company has the given the SUV an update. The new 2021 MG Hector Facelift BS6 has been launched in India today and its price now starts at Rs. 12.90 lakhs, Ex-showroom pan-India. So, as you have seen in the above tables, the price of the petrol variants of the new 2021 MG Hector Facelift BS6 starts at Rs. 12.90 lakhs and it goes all the way up to Rs. 18.20 lakhs. The diesel variants of this mid-size SUV, on the other hand, are priced between Rs. 14.21 lakhs - Rs. 18.53 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom, pan-India. With the facelift update, the prices of the SUV have increased between 6,000 - 44,000 rupees. Now, talking about the changes in the new facelifted MG Hector, so it gets subtle cosmetic tweaks, some new features have been added and it also sports a new dual-tone theme for the interior. Starting with the design of the SUV, so it gets a new front fascia. The mid-size SUV now gets a new slimmer than before with subtle chrome inserts. It sports horizontal studded chrome slats in the grille and MG likes to call it as new bold thermo-pressed front chrome grille.

Also, while the pre-lift MG Hector used to get 17-inch alloy wheels and they tend to look a bit undersized, thanks to its massive wheel arches. The new facelifted MG Hector gets new stylish machined-cut dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. It also gets new dark accents on the tailgate while the other bits on the exterior of the SUV remains almost the same as before. Now, coming to the interior, it gets a significant upgrade. The new MG Hector Facelift BS6 gets new dual-tone interiors that have replaced the old all-black cabin. The all-new dual-tone cabin of the Hector with luxurious champagne and black theme looks more upmarket than before and a lot of people will surely like it. The Hector Facelift now also gets some new features. The feature add-ons include an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM), wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats and an updated i-Smart connectivity system with industry-first 35+ Hinglish (Hindi + English) voice command support.
The mechanicals of the new Hector Facelift remains the same as the pre-lift model. This means that the Hector is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This motor churns out 143 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1600-3600 RPM. The petrol engine is also available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The non-hybrid petrol motor comes paired to a six-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) and a six-speed manual gearbox while the petrol hybrid motor comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only. It also gets the same old BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 PS of maximum power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM.
