2021 Tata Nexon EV - What's New?
The updated Tata Nexon EV gets new five-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels that have a more conventional design than the earlier one. Previously, the Tata Nexon and the Nexon EV used to get multi-spoke alloy wheels with V-shaped pattern that was quite unique. The other major changes have been made in the infotainment system of the car. The physical buttons and knobs on the centre console have been deleted. So, functions like Home, Favorites, Back, Smartphone, etc. can now be operated on the EV via the touchscreen.
Tata Nexon EV - Key Specifications
The Tata Nexon EV features Tata Motors' new Ziptron EV technology. It features a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack coupled with a permanent magnet asynchronous electric motor. This electric powertrain of the Tata Nexon EV churns out 129 PS of maximum power and there is 245 Nm of peak torque right from the word-GO. It has an ARAI claimed range of 312 kilometres on a single charge and the battery of the EV can be juiced up from 0-80 per cent in just an hour via a DC fast charger and in 8 hours using a regular AC home wall box charger that is provided with this electric car.
