Bombay-based home-grown utility vehicle manufacturer - Tata Motors will soon launch the all-new 2021 Tata Safari in India. Just a few days ago, the company officially announced that the new Tata Safari will make its India debut on the occasion of the country's 72nd Republic Day. After a long wait, finally, the iconic Safari moniker will be once again back in India, however, this time in an all-new avatar. The all-new Tata Safari seven-seater SUV will make its India Premiere on January 26, 2021 (tomorrow). And now, ahead of the SUV's official launch, the new 2021 Tata Safari has started arriving at dealerships. So, let's have a closer look at the images of the new Tata Safari.
The all-new 2021 Tata Safari has started arriving at all the Tata dealerships across the country and thus now we have the clear images of the upcoming new Safari. These new images highlight the exterior and interior of the SUV and we can now also make out what will be the actual cosmetic differences between the Harrier and the Safari. Now, as we all know that the Harrier as well as the Safari are based on the same platform. The upcoming new Tata Safari will be the company's flagship SUV in the Indian market. Essentially, it will be an extended seven-seater version of the Tata Harrier but there will be a lot of changes made to differentiate these two SUVs from each other.

If we talk about the cosmetic bits, so from the front, the new Tata Safari will resemble the Harrier to a great extent, however, it will get a lot of chrome accents and some minor tweaking on the bumpers. Also, the new upcoming Safari will be longer and taller than the Harrier and it will get a new design for the alloy wheels and new roof rails too. The rear design of the new Tata Safari will give it a unique identity. If we talk about the dimensions, so the new Tata Safari will measure 4,661 mm in length, 1,894 mm in width and 1,766 mm in height. The ground clearance of the new SUV will be around 200 mm and it will sit on a 2741 mm long wheelbase. Thus, the new Safari will be around 63 mm longer and 80 mm taller than the Tata Harrier.
The upcoming Tata Safari will get new white upholstery for the interiors and while the overall layout of the dashboard will remain completely the same as the Harrier, it will be getting some additional features. The new Tata Safari seven-seater SUV will share its mechanicals too with the Tata Harrier. This means that it will be powered by the same new BS6-compliant 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This BS6 diesel motor will churn out 170 PS of maximum power and a whopping 350 Nm of peak torque. The oil-burner will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and it will get a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission too. A turbo petrol motor might also follow at a later stage for the Harrier and Safari.
