Updated 2022 Husqvarna 401s Debuts

2022 updated Husqvarna has debuted with versions of Svartplien 125, Svartplien 401 and Vitplien 401 motorcycles. Not meant for the domestic market, these motorcycles leave enthusiasts wondering. To know what is changed, read our story.

The ever-evading Husky 401 twins from the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer have undergone a mild update for the year 2022. Husqvarna has silently updated the Svartpilen and Viptlien 401 twins along the Svartpilen 125.

As it is supposed to be a mild update, only some cosmetic twists have been added to the already jaw-dropping design appeal of both models. Mechanically and technically both models are the same.

The new changes include the use of new body graphics along with some minor but subtle visual tweaks.

The smallest portfolio from Husqvarna is the Svartpilen 125. Identical to the Duke 125 in terms of chassis, engine, and gearbox, what differs is the nearly naked body style. Unlike the Duke, this small Husky has zero to slim body panels.

Trellis frame is the main visible aura of the design. Speaking of the design, a lot of cycle parts are used from Duke 125 itself in the manufacturing of this model.

Powering Svartpilen 125 is the same Duke 125 engine which is single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, making 14.3 BHP of peak power and 12 Nm of peak torque. This power is mated via a 6-speed gearbox.

The updated Husky twins boast only some new graphics but that simply adds the beauty of these models. Different from their KTM counterparts in terms of design and set-up, it's hard to distinguish between both of them.

Near to identical in terms of design; Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 are still slightly different from each other. A large straight and upright handlebar are seen over the Svartpilen whilst the Vitpilen uses a more committed low set clip-on handlebar.

Apart from this, both of the motorcycles use the same of the below-given specifications:

1. 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as seen on KTM, producing a whopping 43 BHP of power & 37 NM of torque.

2. A 6-speed gearbox identical to KTM Duke 390.

3. WP Apex suspension, upside-down forks at front for a dedicated and thrilling riding experience.

4. Bybre discs with dual-channel ABS from Bosch to provide on demand stopping power

5. Ride-by-wire throttle, LCD instrument cluster standard in both models.

Husqvarna manufactures the husky twins at Bajaj's Chakan-based plant. Despite being locally made, Indian customers are yet in hope for the domestic launch of these models.
