The Aprilia Tuono 457 is Aprilia’s second budget offering in India. The Tuono belongs to Aprilia’s naked motorcycle family, and the Tuono 457 is the most affordable naked Aprilia in India. It is built on the same platform as the RS 457 and shares many parts with it. However, it gets a triple full-LED headlamp cluster, small windlets on the sides and improved aerodynamics. The new Tuono 457 pays tribute to the Tuono 1000R.

- The Aprilia Tuono 457 belongs to Aprilia’s Tuono family but it gets a different design approach. The front end gets a triple LED headlamp design with LED DRLs, the design gives it a distinctive look compared to other Tuono models sold in the international market. It also gets a small spoiler under the headlamp assembly to offer better aerodynamics. The new Tuono 457 is available in two colour options, Puma Grey and Piranha Red.
- The side profile gets a minimalistic approach with dual tone treatment, it does not get any fairing or big graphics. The fuel tank gets dual-tone tratment and small tank shrouds. It comes with a split seat setup with raised pillion seat. The rear is similar to the RS 457 with a same design for the LED taillamp.

- The Tuono 457 comes with a decent number of features including a 5-inch colour TFT display, all LED lighting, 3 riding modes, Dual-Channel ABS with Anti Roll-Over System (2 maps), Traction Control, among others. Features such as bi-directional quickshifter, USB charging, TPMS, and few others are available as a part of optional accessories.
- On the hardware front, the new Tuono 457 offers a 41mm USD fork with preload adjustment, a monoshock absorber at the rear with preload adjustment, and 17-inch cast wheels. The Tuono is built on the same twin spar aluminium frame as the RS 457.

- The motorcycle is powered by a 457-cc twin-cylinder liquid cooled engine producing 47.6 bhp of power and 43.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed gearbox aided by assist and slipper clutch. Moreover, it gets a ride by wire throttle system.
- It is the same engine and transmission combination as the RS 457 but the gearing is a bit shorter on the Tuono due to the larger rear sprocket. The power delivery and torque delivery remains same as the RS 457.

Last Updated On 19th Feb'25: The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has introduced its second budget offering for the Indian market, the Aprilia Tuono 457, priced at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tuono features a distinctive design language compared to other Tuono models, and this naked motorcycle shares the same engine and platform as the RS 457. Bookings for the Aprilia Tuono 457 are currently open, with deliveries set to begin in March.
Design: The Tuono 457 looks very different from the rest of the Tuono 457, featuring a completely new headlamp unit. However, the overall design is typically of a naked streetfighter with a muscular stance.
Power And Performance: Powering the Tuono 457 is the same 457cc, liquid-cooled powertrain from the RS 457, producing 46.9bhp at 9400rpm and 43.5Nm of torque at 6700rpm.
Hardware: The Tuono 457 features the same frame and underpinnings as the RS 457. It makes use of preload-adjustable suspension on both ends; 41mm USD forks with 120mm of travel, along with a monoshock with 130mm of travel. As for the braking setup, it will get a 320mm disc with radially-mounted four-piston ByBre callipers, along with a 220mm rear disc.
Features: In terms of equipment, the Tuono 457 will carry over the same 5.3-inch TFT screen, smartphone connectivity, and other features include three riding modes, ride-by-wire, traction control modes, a bi-directional quick shifter, and dual-channel ABS among other things.
Rivals: The Tuono 457 will go up against the Yamaha MT-03 and the KTM 390 Duke.
