Even the base variant, Limited, of the upcoming Jeep Meridian, is quite equipped. It features dual-zone climate control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an Alpine 9-speaker audio system and more. However, this base variant is only available with a front-wheel-drive setup. Its rival, Toyota Fortuner gets a rear-wheel-drive setup as standard.
Here are the features of the top of the line Limited (O) variant -
10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster
Panoramic sunroof
Powered tailgate
Dual-tone roof and outside rearview mirror caps
360-degree camera
Terrain modes (AWD)

As can be seen, it is the Limited(O) that is offered with all the bells and whistles. Even the panoramic sunroof which is considered a premium feature in the Indian market is available in this variant only. Some of these features in this variant really come in handy especially if you pick the AWD version of the Meridian.
Under the hood, Jeep Merdian gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This unit generates the same power and torque figures as the Compass, 168 bhp and 350 Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission is observed as standard while buyers will also get the option of a 9-speed torque converter too. The latter transmission only gets AWD.
