Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2022 C Class in India at a starting price of Rs 55 lakh. It is available in three engine options - 1.5L turbocharged petrol, 2.0L turbocharged diesel and a more powerful, C300d turbo diesel mill. This is the sixth generation of the C Class and it borrows design inspiration from the S Class. The C220d is priced at Rs 56 lakh while the top of the line, C300d marks its territory at Rs 61 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
At the front, it borrows inspiration from the S Class but looks a little bulkier than the flagship sedan. The sharp LED headlights, intimidating bumper design and wide grille make the front look more premium than before. When compared to the older model, the new C Class is now 65 mm longer, 10 mm wider and gets 7 mm more ground clearance. The rear seating space is also increased by a decent margin as the wheelbase now sticks to 2865 mm which is 25 mm longer than before.
The German carmaker is providing multiple alloy wheels option depending upon the variants and overall, the side profile looks the same as before but with more prominent body lines. The rear profile of the sedan is rather quite subjective as it feels like a toned-down version of the E and A class sedans. The LED taillights, dual exhaust and diffuser complete the rear look.

There are six colour options available in the recently launched C Class and those are Manufaktur Opalite, High-tech Silver, Obsidian Black, Mojave Silver, Cavansite Blue and Salatine Grey.

Similarly, the C220d diesel pumps out 200 hp of power with a maximum torque of 440 Nm. This motor gets a class-leading ARAI certified fuel economy of 23 kmpl.
