- Expect no changes under the hood
- We expect the prices of the MG Hector to rise after the introduction of the facelifted model
MG is all set to launch the 2022 Hector in December this year. Several spy shots of the same have been spotted on Indian roads and the facelifted Hector will finally launch by December-end. In this article, we share everything about the upcoming SUV.
MG Hector was first launched in 2019 and instantly became popular, thanks to its huge size and the right pricing. Loaded features too played an important part in the success of this SUV. Later, a mid-cycle facelift got launched, however, it didn't have any major changes. It mostly got cosmetic updates and the addition of a few features.
The model which is all set to be launched by year-end gets everything all new. Design-wise, at the front, it now gets a new U-styled grille with chrome studded layout. It looks aggressive. The grille joins itself with the LED daytime running lights and the lower part of the bumper gets a faux skid plate which gives the Hector a sporty look.

The silhouette of the SUV remains more or less the same and at the side, expect a different alloy wheel design only. We can also expect a tweaked rear design with a new taillight set-up.
Feature-wise, Hector gains on a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is the biggest in the segment. We expect it to get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. Other features expected are dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, an electronic parking brake, 7.0-inch fully digital instrument cluster and more.
The facelifted SUV also gains on ADAS. It is not clear whether it will get Level 1 ADAS or Level 2 as of now. Features such as lane departure warning, lane assist system, adaptive cruise control and more are expected to be seen with the Hector facelift.
