The Tata Nexon EV is one of India's most popular electric vehicles, as well as one of the most affordable. Tata Motors is working on an update for the Nexon EV that will include a longer range. The appearance and design of the car are also expected to be mostly unchanged. The 2022 Nexon EV has been sighted on the road multiple times in recent months. According to a recent sighting, a Tata Nexon EV test mule with disc brakes on all four wheels has been spotted testing. It seems like the electric crossover will get better brakes in addition to a longer range in the new update.
The Nexon EV's current generation features front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Seems like Tata will carry over a similar design with Humanity line faux grille, dynamic dual-beam LED headlights and DRLs, trapezoidal fog lamps, and tri-arrow design on the bumper. The side and back of the upcoming EV are believed to be identical to the current model. The rear part is identical to the current model.

2022 Nexon EV Powertrain
Tata's Ziptron EV powertrain technology with a 30.2kWh battery pack is used in the current model. This engine produces 127 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque. The battery comes with an 8-year standard warranty. According to reports, the long-range model of the Tata Nexon EV is planned to be released around mid-2022. It will most likely be equipped with a 40kWh battery pack and will have a maximum range of roughly 400 kilometres on a single charge. The long-range model will lock horns with the MG ZS EV, which has a certified range of 412 kilometres.
The current Nexon EV has a certified range of 312 kilometres, although many users claim that the real-world range is closer to 200 kilometres. The 2022 Nexon EV can directly compete with the Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV in terms of range if Tata can achieve a range of roughly 400 km with the new battery update.
