Not only this, facelifts like the Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Aura, and now the 2023 Honda City are ready to battle it out in the open arena. Bookings Open
The new Honda City Facelift 2023 can be booked across dealerships at Rs. 21,000 token amount. The C-segment sedan is also up for booking on the official website of Honda for Rs. 5000. Both amounts are fully refundable. The detailed pricing of the sedan will be announced on March 2, 2023.

2023 Honda City: New e-HEV Variant V
A new entry-level hybrid- variant, is also making its way to the showrooms with the new 2023 facelift. This will bring a hybrid to mid-level variants as well. Currently, only the top trim gets the petrol hybrid which almost touches the 20 lakh mark. This is the much-needed bridge between the variants.
It sits below the top-spec ZX variant of the strong hybrid powertrain option and offers similar features as the City V petrol. The City V petrol offers features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power-adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, alloy wheels, and projector headlights. A total of 9 variant options are available for selection according to your requirements.
Powertrain: What's Under The Hood
The diesel engine is now no longer available. The 2023 Honda City is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. The strong hybrid version has a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with Hondas e: HEV hybrid tech. This engine produces a combined power output of 126bhp. The mechanicals is the same as the outgoing City.
VERDICT- In a market where diesel is phasing out, the City will offer a new, economical hybrid variant. New features, design update, and a hybrid variant is going to help Honda retain its share of the market. But, the 2023 Hyundai Verna is also staring at the same spot for domination. With launches almost coinciding, it will be interesting to see, who keeps the crown.
