- ADAS functionality debuts on the City 2023
2023 is here, and so is the heat back in the sedan segment. The rivalry is again hot and boiling for the top spot. With the Hyundai Verna 2023 slated for launch on 21 March, now the Honda City is also coming to the showrooms on 2nd March. And there are going to be quite a lot of changes and updates.
While we have already covered the different aspects of the 2023 Honda City, let's now look at the new features that will be a part of this overhaul.
1. Ventilated Seats
The new City is now coming equipped with Ventilated seats. Its rival, Verna was already ahead of its time and has been offering the same feature for quite some time now. Slavia and Virtus were already launched with this seat functionality. This will be very practical as our tropical hot and humid climate will make life a lot easier for the person behind the wheel and the front passenger. A long drive in scorching summers? Not a problem anymore
2. Wireless Charging
The hassle of plugging the wire into your charger and then connecting your phone is now very much sorted. simply put your phone on the wireless charging pad and Voila! Life made easy. But, make sure your phone supports wireless charging, or else don't forget your charging cable.

3. Bigger Infotainment On The Honda City
With screens getting bigger, and even the instrument clusters being replaced by a digital units, the City could receive a bigger infotainment display. It wouldn't be as big as that of the MG Hector 2023 but could be a 9 or 10-inch display.
4. ADAS
Taking a leaf from the hybrid variant, the standard version will come equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). By enhancing the safety features, the City will get Lane Keep Assist System, Emergency Braking System, adaptive cruise control, etc.
5. Honda City 2023: New Affordable e:HEV Hybrid Variant
This is more of an engine option than an outright feature. This is the introduction of a new entry-level hybrid powertrain. With the electric motor now coming a more affordable option, you can count this as a really practical and sizeable feature update. This is also one way of looking at this.
VERDICT- With the new Honda City, the Japanese Cargiant is looking to regain its position as a premium sedan pioneer. The spot it lost to the Hyundai Verna some time back. With the additional features and a more economical hybrid variant on offer, it might just be able to strike a perfect balance of performance, mileage, space, and features. At last, these are the blend of things that we all look for in a car anyways, Right? Tell us what you think about the new City.
