So, what all is going to be the styling updates? Let's see what the pictures say for themselves.
Honda City Facelift: Styling Changes
The new City is very much similar to the previous generation if you're aware of what it looked like. If you catch a glimpse, the changes might even slip your eyes. But, there are minor tweaking
The new model comes with cosmetic design changes. It features a slightly revised bumper and a slimmer chrome bar on the grille section. The grille is flanked by sharply styled headlamps with nine LED arrays. The grille now sports a honeycomb pattern on mid-to-top trims, while the lower variants have vertical slats. The side profile is somewhat identical to the outgoing model.
Moving to the rear, the 2023 Honda City facelift has new bumpers and re-positioned reflectors. On top of all this, there is a new Blue paint scheme as well. Skoda Slavia and the Maruti Ciaz already offer Blue color options. The shades might differ, but you get our point.

2023 Honda City - New Variant
A new entry-level hybrid- variant, is also making its way to the showrooms with the new 2023 facelift. This will bring hybrid to mid-level variants as well. Currently, only the top trim gets the petrol hybrid which almost touches the 20 lakh mark. This is the much-needed bridge between the variants.
Engine
The diesel engine is now no longer available. The 2023 Honda City is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. The strong hybrid version has a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with Hondas e: HEV hybrid tech. This engine produces a combined power output of 126bhp. The mechanicals is the same as the outgoing City.
VERDICT- In a market where diesel is phasing out, the City will offer a new, economical hybrid variant. New features, design update, and a hybrid variant is going to help Honda retain its share of the market. But, the 2023 Hyundai Verna is also staring at the same spot for domination. With launches almost coinciding, it will be interesting to see, who keeps the crown.
