We reported earlier that Hyundai is developing a mid-life facelift of its Grand i10. Now, the rumors have come true as Hyundai launched the updated car today. The 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS has been launched for Rs 5.68 lakh. The new model gets a revised design, refreshed interiors, & added features. Read more details on it below.

The new model gets the much-required mid-life changes to it. On the exterior, Hyundai has mildly refreshed the car. The front now gets a new piano black grille along with new LED DRLs as well as a revised front bumper. Similarly, the rear profile has been updated with a new LED taillight design and a light bar on the boot lid. The side profile remains largely unchanged but it now gets new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The interiors have also been updated mildly. New tech and features have been added to the new model. It now gets an 8-inch of touchscreen infotainment screen along with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. Additionally, cruise control, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, etc., have also been added. Major additions are the new side & curtain airbags making the count reach a total of 6 now. Optional TPMS, ESC, VSM, ISOFIX child seat mount, rear parking camera, automatic headlights, rear defogger, and more are other optional safety features are also available.
Mechanically, the updated car is unchanged. Hence, it is offered with the same 1.2-lt Kappa petrol engine that makes a peak power of 83 bhp & 113.8 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, options for manual and AMT automatic transmissions are also available with the new car. Meanwhile, the engine has been retuned to meet the new RDE norms.
Verdict
With the new update, Hyundai has paid attention to the safety aspect of the Grand i10. The added airbags and safety options have made the Grand i10 an overall better package. Its main rivals in the Indian market are Tata Tiago & Maruti Swift.
