- Will rival the upcoming all-new Dzire
Honda Cars India Limited has started real-world testing of the all-new 2024 Amaze. This sub 4m compact sedan will hot showroom floors before the end of the calendar year and once launched, will lock horns with the Hyundai Aura and the upcoming new Maruti Dzire. These exclusive images showcase the 2024 Honda Amaze under test, fully camouflaged. Before moving ahead, join our 91Wheels WhatsApp Community to stay updated on the latest automotive news.
These images showcase the rear of the new model. Sadly, we couldn't get hold of side or front shots. The rear panel is bigger and there is a full re-design of the boot and tail lights. We expect the front of the new 2024 Honda Amaze to undergo a complete change as well.
The Amaze saw a generation change way back in 2018. Though popular in the older days, with improved competition and growth of SUVs, sales have dropped a lot in recent times. With the new model though, the Amaze is sure to rise up the charts. While Honda remains tight-lipped on the new product, we are sure it will get revisions in and out. The front is expected to take design cues from newer global Honda cars. On the inside, we can expect more features including 6 Airbags as standard, a bigger screen, full digital console and better connected apps.
The current Amaze has a very spacious cabin with best in class seat comfort and this should be a carry over in my opinion. On the engine front, the 2024 Honda Amaze is expected to come with the same 1.2-litre non-turbo engine but with possibly better tuning and performance. It will be E20 compliant and will be offered with both a 5-speed manual as well as a CVT automatic gearbox option. The current model has a starting price of Rs 7.2 lakh and we expect the new model to carry the same sticker price as well.
Verdict
The Hond Amaze is set for a much-needed makeover and will be in showrooms before the end of the year. Expect a full design change, new interiors and the same 1.2 litre petrol engine.
