Kia Motors has unveiled the all-new Carnival in India ahead of the October 3 launch. With the unveiling, some key details such as features, variants and specs have also been announced. The upcoming Kia Carnival will be available in India in two trims- Limousine and Limousine Plus. 2024 Kia Carnival: Variants
Available in two variants- Limousine and Limousine Plus. The Limousine Plus variant gets a longer list of features that adds features such as rain-sensing wipers, a puddle lamp, a smart power tailgate, an LED rear fog lamp, and chrome-plated skid plates on both sides. On the feature tech front too, the Limousine Plus trim offers more features including an 11-inch advanced head-up display, a 12-speaker BOSE premium sound system and a wireless charging pad. Additionally, you get a side still garnished with a matte chrome insert, heating and leg support and second-row powered relaxation ventilated seats.
2024 Kia Carnival: Design
The 2024 Kia Carnival has a strong road presence because of its big dimensions. The premium MPV measures 5155mm in length and 1995mm in width which makes it bigger than the Toyota Vellfire. Some notable design highlights include an ice cube LED projector headlamps, star map LED DRLs a tiger nose grille, a dual electric sunroof and 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Features
Coming to the tech, you get a dual 12.3-inch display, Kia Connect with OTA system update and Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8 speaker sound system. Other convenience features include electrically sliding doors, power adjustable driver and co-passenger seats, captain seats with sliding and reclining functions, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 3-zone automatic climate control.
On the safety front, the Kia Carnival offers top-notch features such as ADAS Level 2 (23 features), 8 airbags, VSM, TPMS, electronic stability control and parking sensor (front and rear).
Engine
The new-gen Kia Carnival is available with a sole powertrain- a 2.2-litre diesel engine (same as the current-gen model). The diesel unit churns out the maximum power output of 193 PS and a peak torque of 441 Nm. Transmission options include a single 8-speed Automatic gearbox. The premium MPV is still available in 2WD configuration in India. Apart from this, it gets four riding modes- Eco, Normal, Sport and Smart.
Kia Carnival Price Expectations
The new gen Kia Carnival will come to India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. This will contribute to a significant increase in the ex-showroom price of the vehicle. We are expecting it to arrive in India at a starting price of Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the upcoming Carnival will lock horns with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Invicto. However, people also see the upcoming Carnival as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
