2025 BMW S 1000 RR: Details

The 2025 S 1000 RR gets a redesigned fairing, which is said to enhance aerodynamics and air flow. The body gets new winglets that look similar to the ones on the M 1000 RR. These are said to generate more downforce than before, be it when the bike is upright or when it is leaning.

BMW Motorrad has also made use of ducts integrated onto the front fender, which not only cool the brake pads down, but they also enhance air flow around the front fork legs and the brake callipers.

The new S 1000 RR also gets two optional packages; the Dynamic package adds electronically-adjustable suspension, cruise control, and heated grips, while the M Package adds on the M Sport seat, M Carbon wheels, M foot rests and a black fuel filler cap.

Additionally, apart from the regular four riding modes, the new S 1000 RR also comes with three Pro riding modes which also enables the engine braking function, hill-start control pro, dynamic traction control, five-level adjustable ABS and more.

However, mechanically, the S 1000 RR remains the same as before. It continues with the fire-breathing 999cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled powertrain, producing 208bhp at 13,750rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. It now also gets the M short-stroke throttle as standard.

It also continues with 17-inch whees with aluminium cast rims, along with M brakes as standard, USD forks, the single-sided rear swingarm, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, and launch control among other things.

Verdict

With most of the mechanicals remaining the same, it shouldn't really be a surprise that the new S 1000 RR is only marginally more expensive than before. With a few new additions here and there, the S 1000 RR is an already-potent track tool that has been polished even further.
