MG Gloster Facelift Interiors Spied: New Features And More
MG is gearing up to enhance the premium appeal of the MG Gloster with its next update that brings in a slew of fresh elements and tech. Early sightings of the test models indicate notable upgrades. The exterior now features a revamped front end with a split headlight design, where LED daytime running lights sit above vertically stacked LED headlights. A large grille takes center stage at the front. The sides remain mostly unchanged, but the rear has been updated with new tail lights.
Inside, the dashboard has been modernized to align with current design trends and includes a larger, freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. The center air vents have also been redesigned to a square shape, contributing to the contemporary look. The Gloster's climate control system has been redesigned with new toggle switches, a departure from the previous dial and button setup. The center console has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring two spacious grab handles that exude a rugged appeal and gets a wireless charging pad in the middle while the gear lever has been relocated to the steering column, a new feature for the MG Gloster. In addition to the charging pad, the center console houses two circular dials and an electronic parking brake. One of the dials controls the Gloster's 4X4 shift-on-the-fly transfer case, while the other selects various terrain modes.
The refreshed Gloster was spied in a 6-seater variant, complete with captain's chairs in the second row. These chairs are anticipated to offer ventilation and possibly massage functions for improved comfort, which even comes with the Hyundai Alcazar in the latest update. Additionally, second-row passengers will benefit from their own climate control zone, allowing for personalized temperature settings. The interior design will feature a darker color scheme with black upholstery.
Many features from the existing Gloster are expected to carry over to the facelift. These include Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), automatic parking capabilities, a digital instrument cluster, 19-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats with memory functions, a spacious panoramic sunroof, AC vents in all rows, an electric tailgate, connected car technology, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced visibility.

Verdict
MG Gloster is the biggest in its segment and the road presence is. testament to this fact that leaves no questions in mind. While it has not managed to break the fort of the Toyota Fortuner, it is getting closer with each update to take a serious shot at it. Couple it up with all the tech and the premium in-cabin expereince, the updated model, in my opinion, could be a much better positioned rival than before, but is that enough? We'll have to wait it out to know better!
