- Honda has finally unveiled the Elevate SUV in India
- The new SUV comes with Honda Sensing ADAS & Honda Connect
- It still misses out on some features that its rivals offer
Honda Cars India has finally unveiled the much-awaited Elevate SUV. Set to compete in the midsize SUV segment with challengers like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, etc, the new Honda SUV comes with some advanced features like Honda Sensing ADAS & Honda Connect connected car tech. Still, it misses out on some features that its rivals offer. In this article we have highlighted 5 such features that Honda Elevate SUV misses out on but its rivals offer.
The New Honda Elevate SUV Misses Out On 360-View Camera
The new Honda Elevate gets Honda's Lane Watch camera and a reverse camera. However, it still misses out on a 360-degree view camera system that many of its rivals like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Tata Harrier, etc get. Moreover, the upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift will also come with this feature. Therefore, Honda should have provided this feature in the Elevate SUV.
The New Honda Elevate SUV Misses Out On Front Ventilated Seats
Many of the rivals of Honda Elevate like Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Harrier & Hyundai Creta offer front-ventilated seats. Even compact SUVs like Tata Nexon & Kia Sonet offer this feature. Honda could have provided front-ventilated seats in the Elevate to match up to the competition.
The New Honda Elevate SUV Misses Out On Panoramic Sunroof
Honda has offered a single pane sunroof in the Elevate SUV but its rivals like Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Tata Harrier & Hyundai Creta offer a panoramic sunroof. The upcoming Kia Seltos is also likely to get a panoramic sunroof. With that, the new Honda Elevate will remain the only vehicle in the segment to come with a small single-pane sunroof instead of a panoramic one.
The New Honda Elevate SUV Misses Out On Hybrid Tech
The new Honda Elevate SUV was expected to come with Honda's eHEV strong hybrid powertrain. However, Honda has not offered it and hasn't even mentioned any future plans for a hybrid Elevate. The hybrid could have been a big USP and differentiator for the Elevate in this extremely competitive midsize SUV segment. Moreover, the Maruti Grand Vitara & Toyota Hyryder already come with a strong hybrid powertrain option.
The New Honda Elevate SUV Misses Out On Electric Seat Adjustment
Some rivals of the Honda Elevate like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Tata Harrier offer electric adjustment for the driver seat, which is missing in the Honda Elevate. Honda should have offered either this feature or front-ventilated seats. However, the Japanese carmaker has skipped both features in its new midsize SUV.

Verdict: Although the Honda Elevate misses out on the above-mentioned features, it does offer Honda Sensing ADAS tech, which makes it only the third car in the segment, after the MG Astor & Tata Harrier, to come with ADAS. Additionally, it also features Honda Connect connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity and Alexa support, making it extremely attractive for tech-savvy buyers.
