8,000 Bookings Of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 So Far - Details

Just recently Royal Enfield introduced their new highway cruiser motorcycle, the Meteor 350 and its bookings has already crossed 8,000 units so far. Launched at a price of Rs 1.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, the base Fireball variant looks similar to the discontinued Thunderbird 350X.

Sharing about the mechanicals first then it is powered by an all-new J-series engine which is it's first in the Meteor 350 only. This one produces 20.2 PS of power at 6100 RPM with a peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 RPM. The power comes from a 349cc, single-cylinder petrol engine which is BS6 compliant and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

What's new about the engine is that it now comes with a balancer shaft which reduces the vibrations to a greater extent. The older Enfields which are known for vibrational issues at high speeds, this new engine portrays a new image for the brand.

Throwing some light on the variants then one gets to choose from a total of three trims - Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. The top of the line variant, Supernova gets all the goodies and accessories like chrome highlights, big windscreen and dual-tone colour shade of black and brown.

The Fireball variant continues with the solid goss paint colour of yellow and red while the Stellar variant is available in three colour options - Gloss metallic blue, gloss metallic red and matte black. This one also comes with backrest and costs Rs 1.81 lakh while the Supernova costs Rs 1.90 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

Feature-wise, it is the most advanced Royal Enfield to date with a twin-pod cluster. The main unit displays the gear indicator, fuel level, service reminder and more information while the other one is an analogue cluster with a small multi-information display in between.

Like we said above, the bookings have already crossed over 8,000 and the booking period has significantly risen from 15 days to a month. This Royal Enfield Meteor 350 rivals with Honda CB 350, Benelli Imperiale 400, Jawa Classic and Jawa 42.
