Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler Launch Details
The first teaser image shows the roadster design elements of the bike. It'll get a cushioned seat with a sculpted fuel tank with a chrome fuel filler cap. What we know so far is that it'll come in two variants. One will be oriented for street riding whilst the other shall feature scrambler appeal. It is going to be the first product from the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration. As per the officials, it'll be the most-affordable Triumph bike in India. While we've already seen multiple spy shots of it; the complete production spec will only be revealed on 5 July. Bajaj's Chakan-based plant will be the launch venue where Triumph will take off the covers from it.
Some of the known details hint that it'll get the latest features like LED lights, USD front suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, & a semi-digital instrument pod. However, its engine specifications will be interesting as the online reports hint that it'll get a 400cc engine. Its engine will get a liquid-cooling setup and it is expected to generate a peak power of upwards 35 bhp. We also anticipate that Triumph will offer multiple riding modes, dual-channel ABS, etc. on it.
Verdict - What'll Be Its Pricing?
With a bigger engine and the latest connected features being bolted on; we suspect that it'll be premium priced. Additionally, the Triumph moniker means premium quality. Hence, a premium of at least Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom) is what we anticipate it'll get. Some of its direct rivals in India will be the KTM 390 Duke & the upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 450.
