Base Variants Of MG Astor Temporarily Discontinued; Hector Twins and Gloster Gets A Price Hike

In a recent piece of information, MG has halted the bookings for the base variants Style and Super of Astor and hiked the prices of Hector twins and their flagship vehicle, Gloster. Not just the bookings but the variants too of the MG Astor are temporarily discontinued thus making it one of the most expensive mid-size SUVs in the competition.

Earlier, the base variant, Style was priced at Rs 9.98 lakh while the Super was from Rs 11.50 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi but with the temporary discontinuation of these variants, the Astor will be available from the Smart variant. This Smart variant is priced from Rs 13.28 lakh.

Powering the Astor are two engine options - a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor that generates 108 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 144 Nm. The other option is a powerful 1.3L turbo petrol mill that produces 138 bhp of power with 220 Nm of maximum torque. The former gets a 6-speed manual as standard and a CVT while the turbo petrol is equipped with a 6-speed torque converter unit only.

Sharing more info from MG Motor India then they have also hiked the prices of Gloster, Hector and Hector Plus. The flagship SUV, Gloster, sees a price hike of Rs 50,000 and is now priced from Rs 31.49 lakh to Rs 39.49 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Both the Hector and Hector Plus gets a price hike of Rs 20,000 each and are one of the most popular SUVs in the market. MG Hector is now priced from Rs 14.15 lakh to Rs 20.11 lakh while Hector Plus is from Rs 14.65 lakh to Rs 20.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
