BMW Motorrad is about to introduce the new BMW R 1300 GS to its Indian lineup. Although the official launch is expected in May, unofficial bookings have already started, with booking amounts ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000. BMW R 1300 GS: Variants And Engine Details
BMW Motorrad India is set to launch R 1300 GS in four different variants: GS, Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Tramuntana. The bike features a sporty, aggressive, and aerodynamic design. It is powered by a 1,300cc, air and liquid-cooled four-stroke flat twin engine, delivering a robust 145bhp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Paired with a Claw-shifted 6-speed gearbox, it promises smooth and responsive performance.
Additionally, it features a wet clutch with a slipper clutch mechanism, hydraulically operated for optimal control. Braking is handled by a twin-disc setup at the front, with semi-floating brake discs measuring 310mm in diameter and a 4-piston radial brake calliper. At the rear, there's a single disc brake with a diameter of 285mm and a 2-piston floating calliper.

BMW R 1300 GS: Feature Details
The upcoming BMW R 1300 GS is anticipated to boast a range of exciting features designed to enhance the riding experience. These include a TFT display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity, LED matrix headlight, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), 4 riding modes (Eco, Rain, Road, Enduro), Heated grips, USB charging socket, ABS Pro, Hill Start Control (HSC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC), Engine drag torque control (MSR), Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM), Keyless Ride, and more. Additionally, optional features may be available.
BMW R 1300 GS: Delivery Timeline And Pricing
Following its launch, deliveries of the bike are expected to commence from June or July onwards. The anticipated price range is set to start from Rs 22 to Rs 24 lakh, excluding showroom charges. It will be facing competition from the likes of the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, Ducati Multistrada V4, and the Triumph Tiger 1200.
