BMW Motorrad India has finally launched the 2024 BMW R 1300 GS in India. The ADV motorcycle gets an all-new design language and is a worthy successor to the R 1250 GS. The all-new BMW R 1300 GS gets major improvements in terms of power and off-roading capabilities. The ADV motorcycle rivals the likes of the Triumph Tiger 1200 and Ducati Multistrada V4.

BMW R 1300 GS: All New Engine
The all-new BMW R 1300 GS comes powered by an all-new 1300cc, liquid-cooled, Boxer twin engine which churns out a maximum power of 143.5 bhp and a peak torque output of 149 Nm at 6500 rpm. These power figures are better than the predecessor BMW R 1250 GS ( power is up by 9 bhp and torque is up by 6 Nm). According to. the BMW Motorrad, powerhouse is the most powerful boxer engine made by the manufacturer.
Improved Suspension On Board
The all-new R 1300 GS gets a significantly improved suspension. The ADV motorcycle is now equipped with an EVO telelever in the front and gets the all-new EVO paralever at the rear side. There's also an option for a dynamic suspension which enables the spring preload and damping adjustment on the go. There is also an option for the adaptive seat height which adjusts the seat height at slow speeds and when the motorcycle is not in motion.
All New Design Language
The all-new R 1300 GS comes with a slimmer design language when compared to its predecessor. The ADV motorcycle now comes with an X-shaped matrix LED headlight and DRLs. Apart from this, the fuel tank of the bike is now quite flat and compact. Talking about comfort, BMW has done great work on ergonomics which meets the expectations as well.
New Metal Sheet Frame
The R 1300 GS is based on an all-new sheet metal main frame which is specifically made to provide better riding experience and space to riders. The rear frame used by the manufacturer is also a new die-cast Aluminium unit. Because of the new and more optimised frame, the motorcycle is much lighter in weight, providing a better off-roading experience.
BMW R 1300 GS: More Features
The all-new R 1300 GS comes packed with features that include a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, four standard ride modes- Rain, Eco, Road and Enduro, and keyless ignition. Additionally, buyers can also opt for the pro package which enables three additional ride modes- Dynamic, Dynamic Pro and Enduro Pro. Apart from this, there is also an option for the riding assistant package which offers radar-based features- front collision warning, lane change warning, active cruise control and adaptive cruise control.
