BMW R 1300 GS was seen testing for the first time globally. The new upcoming adventure bike could replace the R 1250 GS. See all the details below.
BMW R 1250 GS has been a testament in the flagship adventure motorcycle segment globally. Loaded with lots of technology and a reliable engine, it has created a cult among potential buyers. To stay in the competition, the German premium-bike manufacturer has been working on three new models which could be called the BMW R 1300 GS, R 1400 GS, and M 1300 GS.
These new generation motorcycles are anticipated to be the future replacement of the current generation R 1250 GS adventure bike. The new spy photos, which were taken internationally, confirm that BMW is up to something in this segment. Back in 2019, patents were filed in the name of new M-series bikes in the adventure category. In 2021 also, BMW was spotted testing a similar motorcycle that resembled the current R 1250 GS. That test mule was also camouflaged and it was loaded with fake inserts like a dummy trellis frame and cylinder covers.
A few days back, BMW's online service registration portal for motorcycles had added three new names in its pop-down menu. These names indicated the development of a new portfolio of adventure motorcycles. Although, BMW's backend soon took down these names from the menu till then these names had become a sensation in the global automotive world.
Now, talking of these spy shots, the test mules are visible using a new bigger frame, and a new design as well. We are not certain which exact model is the test mule; meaning is it an R 1300 or the bigger R 1400? Our simple calculation extracts some facts which are - the new models will be bigger in size, they will feature a new design language, they'll also feature better tech upgrades like an improved heat management system, and they will introduce new tech gizmo features over the onboard rider management system as well.
So, when are these new bikes getting launched? Well, this will happen very soon as BMW has already registered itself to participate in major automotive events for this year. Anticipation goes by the idea that BMW might launch these new models by the first quarter of next year i.e. 2023. Pricings will surely be more premium than the current generation due to the improved overall package.
