CFMoto 450SR concept sports motorcycle has been teased for the first time indicating its soon debut in the global market. Read our story for the details.
The China-based motorcycle manufacturer has teased their first middle-weight sports bike i.e. the CFMoto 450SR over the digital platforms. Becoming an overnight sensation, the front-end profile digital sketch has left automotive fanatics wondering globally.
If you remember, CFMoto showcased an eye-watering sports motorcycle concept last year which was called the C21-SR. The concept motorcycle attracted a lot of attention due to its sharp aerodynamic design as well as the equipment it was showcased with. The C21-SR concept featured a track-oriented design with a full-system SC project 2-1 exhaust, ֨lins suspension, dual front disc brakes, and rear-set footpegs. Although, the teaser has showcased that the production version will be using the upside-down front fork suspension for increased structural rigidity.

While these features were exclusive to the concept motorcycle only, the production model of the 450SR will not come with all these equipment and features. The 450SR has been embedded with a single-disc brake at the front and a single-disc brake at the rear tyre. Also, the race exhaust is not expected to be carried over in the production variant. One major element of design that is seen in the teaser, is the use of winglets at the front of the motorcycle. Although, it is highly sceptical that how much aero-support these winglets will bring in during the ride. Another thing to notice is the use of BOSCH 9.1 dual-channel ABS technology for the single-disc brake setup on the bike.
Technically, the CFMoto will be using a 449cc, parallel-twin, DOHC engine which is anticipated to produce a peak power of 49.6 Bhp and a peak torque of 39 Nm. The gearbox specs are still unrevealed but we expect it to feature a 6-speed transmission with a slip-assist clutch function as well. These output figures are expected to push the 450SR to a claimed 190 kmph of top whack. The credibility of these figures will be checked once this motorcycle makes it into production.

The rest of the details remain undisclosed for now as there are no other visible proofs of what this upcoming middle-weight motorcycle will look like. But, CFMoto 450SR is being readied for competing with the contenders of the segment which include the Kawasaki Ninja 400, and the Honda CB500R (which is not on sale in India). For now, the only thing we know is that there is some time before CFMoto clears their intentions about launching the motorcycle in India and when is it going to happen as well.
