Suzuki Access 125 Facelift Spy Video
Before we proceed into the details, you can quickly get a glimpse of the scooter spotted by us in our spy video below.
New Suzuki Access 125 Facelift: Design and Features
As visible in the spy video, the duo of test scooters were spotted around Delhi-NCR. Both of the scooters were camouflaged but the body panels and crucial details gave us a rough idea of what to expect. Firstly, the body panels look more or less unchanged from the current model. Moreover, look closely and details like alloy wheels and their design are also unchanged. This hints that it's not a new-gen Access but a facelift.
The important part to notice is the LED headlight that has twin bulbs. The current model also gets an LED bulb on the top spec but not a twin setup. Additionally, the taillight is covered as its design is likely to be revised. Ironically, one of the scooters broke down during our spy and the other rider helped the scooter to move. During this, we spotted the hazard warning lights as well.
While the instrument console was not completely visible, we could see a new digital setup. It is likely to compete with the latest market trends. Bluetooth connectivity and features like turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts, etc, will be offered as well. Other important details to note are a dual-tone seat cover, a chrome finish on the exhaust, and a silver single grab rail for the pillion. The mirrors are also unchanged on the test units.

Hardware and Engine Details
It seems like this will be a mid-life update of the Access 125. Hence, the engine and the hardware are likely to remain unchanged. Speaking of the hardware, the scooter is equipped with a 12-inch front tyre and a 10-inch rear tyre with black contrast alloy wheels. Moreover, the suspension at the front is a telescopic unit while the rear has dual-shockers.
The current-gen Access is powered via a 124cc, air-cooled engine. It develops a peak power of 8.6 bhp. We suspect that the same powertrain will be used on the newer model. However, the possibility of Suzuki fiddling with the engine tuning for better efficiency can not be denied. The test mule also had a single-disc brake at the front and a drum brake setup at the rear.

Launch Date, Price, and Rivals
The new facelift of the Access 125 can possibly be introduced before the Diwali festival this year. As it'll not get major changes, the pricing will remain more or less the same. We expect a slight rise in the pricing with the new features on offer. The rivals of the Access 125 will be the popular Honda Activa 125 and the TVS Jupiter 125.
Verdict
Suzuki Access is undoubtedly a popular scooter. However, it has now started to feel a bit old. To remain in the demand and to keep the brand updated, this facelift will be launched soo. While there are no major changes to the scooter, it'll surely bring a fresh flair to the Access brand name.
