Ford India has not been too active in the recent days and their small offerings like Figo, Freestyle and Aspire aren't doing well when compared to the competition. However, there seems to be some activity at their end which will come in the form of the special 'Flair' edition of the Freestyle crossover which will be launched soon.
The Flair edition will replace the top Titanium Plus variant of the Ford Freestyle and it will get some cosmetic updates. Talking about the changes, Freestyle Flair will be equipped with black roof, roof rails with red accents, gloss black alloy wheels, red coloured ORVMs, Flair embossing on doors and boot lid. Talking about the interiors, then expect some red stitching on the seats and some sporty red accents on door handles.

Ford India has recently launched the Ecosport with BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines and the price changes were minimal. We expect Ford to ask a tad more price for the Freestyle Flair thanks to the styling changes and BS6 compliant engines. The petrol range of the Freestyle starts from Rs 5.91 lakhs for the Ambiente and it goes to Rs 7.90 lakhs for the Titanium Plus vacant. The diesel range kick starts from Rs 6.76 lakhs and goes to Rs 8.36 lakhs for the Titanium Plus variant.
Freestyle comes with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine churning out 96 ps and 120 Nm of torque. Another engine is a 1.5-litre TDCI diesel engine with 100 Ps and 215 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as Ford India has recently discontinued the petrol automatic variant from Figo, Freestyle and Aspire.
Ford India was busy with the Endeavour to make it BS6 complaint and the good news is Ford has checked in a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 10 speed AT. The power figures are rated at 170 Hp and 420 Nm of torque. Both the 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre engines will be discontinued. Ford has not participated in the 2020 Auto Expo, hence we expect the launch of the BS6 Endeavour and other models at a separate event.
