The coronavirus pandemic has refashioned our traditional way of doing tasks and now everything is going digital. The Central Government of India has announced a 55-day nationwide lockdown in the country in a phased manner to combat against this pernicious virus. Currently, India is undergoing Lockdown 3.0 and in the third phase of lockdown, some relaxations have been provided to bring the economy back on the track. The Ford dealerships across India have resumed their operations depending on the situation of COVID in that region and considering the safety of the customers as their utmost priority, the carmaker has launched a new contactless programme called Dial-A-Ford.

This unique Dial-A-Ford platform will simplify the task of a customer by bringing the Ford dealership to their doorstep. The company will be using this platform so that both new as well as existing Ford customers can carry out sales and service-related activities of Ford vehicles from their homes. This platform will be centrally controlled by a dedicated helpline number - 1800-419-3000. This unique platform allows new potential customers to connect with the Ford team to book a new vehicle, arrange a test drive facility and also to get their car home-delivered.
For existing Ford customers, Dial-A-Ford will organize pick-up and drop-off facility for regular servicing along with online consultations for problems related to the car. One can also get regular updates about vehicle servicing and payment of the bills via digital payment getaways are also a part of their new roadmap. Moreover, the company has also announced multiple safety measures that will be undertaken by all the dealerships keeping in mind the current COVID-19 situation.
All vehicles in the sales, as well as the service process, will be thoroughly disinfected at the time of delivery, pick-up or drop-off. Additionally, anyone entering a Ford dealership, including all dealership employees and customers, will have their temperature checked with no-touch infrared thermometers and proper care will be taken to ensure everyone follows social distancing. Also, all Ford dealerships will be thoroughly disinfected three times each day and hand sanitizer dispensers will be available across the dealerships in high visibility and traffic areas.

Ford has also announced that the vehicle warranties having expired or set to expire between March 15 and May 30, 2020, will be offered a free-of-cost
extension until June 30, 2020. Also, Customers who missed purchasing extended warranty products in the lockdown can do so until June 30 and customers who have booked a new Ford car until April 30 will get complete price protection at the time of delivery, whenever applicable.
