Hero launched the updated Hero Glamour BS6 in the Indian market last year and the bike did receive a great response from the customers in the market who were looking for a small bike for urban commute. The Hero Glamour is currently being offered as an affordable and a frugal bike and here are some of the Hero Glamour BS6 pros and cons that you should know.
Pros:
1. Fuel Efficient Engine
Powering the new Hero Glamour is a 124.7 cc motor which may not boast segment-leading power or torque figures but scores high in the fuel-efficiency department. In normal riding conditions, the bike should deliver you a fuel economy of around 60 kmpl while on the highway, it may deliver up to 70 kmpl. This makes it an extremely practical bike for the urban commute.
2. Driveability
With the launch of the BS6 model, the Glamour now comes with a 5-speed gearbox,w which is definitely much better than the earlier, 4-speed unit. The addition of the 5-speed gearbox has made it a better bike for urban as well as highway commute.
3. After-Sales Support
The Hero Glamour is backed by the brand's trusted after-sales support. The owners have reported a positive experience with regular servicing of the car and the part availability too is superior to most of its rivals. In addition to this, the parts are not very expensive to replace, thus making it an affordable bike int the long run.

4. Practical and Easy To Ride Bike
The Hero Glamour is one of the lightest bikes in the segment, thus making it one of the most practical bikes for those who will be riding in the urban conditions most of the times. With a kerb weight of just 123 kg for the disc variant, the Hero Glamour is definitely an easy to ride bike for most of us.
5. Build Quality
The bikes from Hero are known to age really well with time and the Hero Glamour is no different. The plastics feel solid and so does the other parts which definitely gives us an idea about the build quality of the bike. The mechanical parts and components too are of good quality and generally have a long service life.
Cons:
1. Performance and Refinement
The Hero Glamour is one of the most fuel efficient bikes in the segment but is not as fun to ride as its other rivals. The 125 cc motor lacks in the refinement department and does not feel smooth when pushed hard. The performance too is not very impressive and the bike does feel a little lethargic.
2. Ride Quality
A low kerb weight and slightly stiff suspension has taken a massive toll on the overall ride quality of the bike. Rivals like the Honda Shine offer a better ride quality and have a much better suspension setup.

3. Fit and Finish Issues
While the parts and components used in the Glamour are of good quality, the fit and finish levels are not great and does not make the bike look premium. Slightly better finishing and panel gaps would have been appreciated.
4. Dated Design
Modern bikes offer a much more elegant and an aggressive design when compared to the Hero Glamour and the brand should now consider updating the overall look of the bike. Making the bike loo a little more dramatic will definitely make it look better.
