Honda Amaze Facelift Launch Sooner Than Expected
Honda Amaze is currently rolling in its second generation for quite some time now. The Amaze facelift was long overdue and was earlier slated for a launch around the festive season of 2024. Now, according to the latest reports, the same timeline has been pushed upwards and it could launch sometime in the next two to three months. This would bring the compact sedan to its third generation. But what can you expect from the update?
The next-gen Amaze will be based on the platform of Honda City and Elevate SUV. This will take the burden off the production line where all these 3 Honda cars will be sharing the same platform. While it will streamline the production side of things, it will also be economically sound for the brand and then can help in faster scaling of production.
While the sedan will come with a refreshed exterior design philosophy, it will take cues from the bigger cars from Honda. It will take cues from the Honda City currently on sale globally or the Civic. The inspirational bits will be carried over to sit in tandem with the dimensions of the Amaze facelift. In terms of features, expect a longer list with amenities like ADAS, a wireless charging pad, a bigger floating touchscreen shared with the Honda Elevate, automatic climate control, and more.

Engine Options Retained
The updated model will carry over the existing powertrain options. You get a 1.2 liter NA petrol unit that churns out 89bhp power with a peak torque of 110 Nm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Notably, Honda does not give diesel options with any of its models in India. It rivals the likes of Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and others.
Verdict
The Honda Amaze brings in decent sales for the brand and a timely update is necessary to keep the aprk alive. The speculations to launch it earlier than the festive season might ciuld have been to increase its traction till the festive season hits, and ultimately help in boosting its sales. Whatever the reason, it is a good news for prospective buyers to have a refreshed product altogether.
