KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Honda Amaze facelift launch on December 4
- Unofficial bookings open ahead of launch with select dealerships
- To offer an elevated feature list including segment-first ADAS
The next-gen Maruti Dzire has left the competition behind and has the public in awe of the radical (in a good way) evolution of its predecessor and also for the fact that it leaves behind its Swift resemblance. However, it isn't going to be that easy as the Honda Amaze facelift is almost here with teasers out and the launch date set for December 4, 2024. And if that isn't enough, the unofficial bookings are already underway, making the road ahead for the Dzire, a little more challenging given the response the sketches have evoked. Let's look at the details about the updated sedan soon to make its landfall here, but before that, make sure you are a part of our 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel, specifically curated for all the avid petrolheads to never miss out on any automotive updates.

Firstly, the sketches were released and what immediately went viral was how elegant the Honda Amaze has evolved into. Not that the outgoing version doesn't ooze sophistication, but this City-ish look with sleeker headlamp unit, a sculpted lower bumper with sharp outlines and that subtle hexagonal front grill with a Honda emblem embellished in the centre, enters a new era of visual aesthetics. Not to mention the multi-spoke symetrical alloys that accentuates the overall appeal pretty seamlessly.
Honda has shared a sketch of the new Amaze's interior, revealing some intriguing details. The instrument cluster appears to be a twin-dial unit, similar to the City. Notably, the sketch hints at a lane assist function, suggesting that the new Amaze may be equipped with an ADAS suite. Other features expected to be included are a wireless charging pad, push-button start, cruise control, USB charging ports, wired smartphone connectivity, and automatic climate control.

Powertrain Likely To Be Retained
The facelifted Honda Amaze will retain its 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 88 hp and 110 Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission just as it is in its outgoing model.
Verdict
The upcoming Honda Amaze facelift is poised to disrupt the compact sedan segment with the introduction of an ADAS suite. This strategic move sets it apart from rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Tata Tiago. Coupled with other modern tech upgrades and safety features, the Amaze's pricing strategy will be key to its success in the market. Given that the new-gen Maruti Dzire has entered the scene, Honda should and would play its moves very carefully.
