Honda Two-wheelers India is going all guns blazing this year. The Indian subsidiary of this Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is having a busy 2020 updating all its products to meet the new BS6 emission norms. Also, the company is launching several all-new motorcycles. Just a few days ago, Honda has launched the Hornet 2.0 BS6 and now the company has teased another new motorcycle. This upcoming motorcycle seems to be Honda's Royal Enfield Rival and here we have for you some more details about it.
Honda is absolutely tight-lipped about its upcoming sub-500cc motorcycle. The company has not revealed anything, save for the exhaust note of the motorcycle. Honda has only teased the exhaust note of the motorcycle and you can listen to it by clicking on the embedded video above. The launch teaser quotes 'An Unforgettabe Roar, Your Highness is Arriving on 30th September 2020.' The audio clip hints that it is a single-cylinder motorcycle, most likely a cruiser. The audio clip reveals how the motorcycle sounds while starting up, at idle and also while accelerating through the gears.

It has been in news since a long time that Honda is working on a motorcycle to take on the likes of the Royal Enfield and this seems to be Honda's Royal Enfield Rival. But will it be a perfect RE rival or can eat only the sales of the Jawa Motorcycles and the Benelli, only time will tell that. We believe this new upcoming motorcycle will be a 300cc-500cc cruiser and it will take its design inspiration from the Honda Rebel 500. It might be called the Honda Rebel 300 too. Being a Honda, it will be a premium offering and might get a semi-digital instrument cluster, all-LED lights, etc.
The powertrain of the motorcycle isn't confirmed but we expect the power figures will be around 30 PS and it will develop around 28 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it will get a fuel-injection system and might feature liquid-cooling too. Being a cruiser, it will get telescopic forks at the front and spring-loaded dual-shock absorbers at the rear. Lastly, talking about the price and launch date, so Honda has revealed that it will be launched on September 30, 2020. We expect it to be priced around Rs. 3 lakhs, Ex-showroom and it will be sold via Honda's Premium BigWing Dealerships.
