Th trend for micro-SUVs is on the rise and the latest entrant is Casper from Hyundai. This SUV will first be launched in South Korea and then will be brought to India early next year. Several spy shots, digitally rendered images are available on the internet, however, not many know how the interior of Hyundai Casper might look like. Well, the images for that too are now out.
Unlike the other cars available in India that offer black and beige or black and grey colour schemes, Hyundai will give a premium approach to the Casper. The spy shots reveal that the Casper will get the dual-tone white and black theme that gives the cabin an upmarket approach. This micro SUV also gets a centre armrest for both driver and the co-passenger.
Feature-wise, the Casper is expected to get a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear camera, power-folding ORVMs are some of the other features. We expect most of the features will be borrowed from the already popular Grand i10 Nios.

Safety-wise, we expect dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, rear parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder, speed sensing door lock and among others.
The design of the Hyundai Casper focuses more on the youth and is more dynamic. The split headlight cluster features indicators at the top and round halogen headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights at the bottom. Similarly, the side profile gets a boxy design with roof rails and a shark fin antenna. We believe that these roof rails will be functional and might carry 30-50 kg of load. The rear profile of the Casper continues with a similar split taillights setup like LED taillights at the top and indicators with reverse light at the bottom.
As far as the prices are concerned then rumours suggest that the Casper will be priced well under Rs 5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. What do you think about the Hyundai Casper and will it draw more attention than the Maruti Ignis? Do let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
