Renault Duster Engine Options
The 2024 Renault Duster is built on the CMF-B platform and exhibits a significant design evolution, incorporating iconic elements from its predecessors while drawing inspiration from the Bigster Concept. Pioneering the compact SUV segment, the Duster is renowned for its robust suspension and all-wheel-drive capabilities.
The upcoming Duster's new generation will offer three engine choices, with one featuring a comprehensive hybrid setup. Notably, the brand has opted not to include a diesel powertrain this time. The initial engine option is a 1.6-liter petrol engine paired with two electric motors, forming a complete hybrid engine. This configuration is reminiscent of the Honda HEV powertrain. Coupled with an automatic transmission, it generates 140 bhp of power and 148 Nm of peak torque.
An additional engine option includes a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48V electric motor. This engine provides the flexibility of a 4X4 drivetrain, offering various drive modes and the choice between manual and automatic transmissions. The power output for this engine ranges from 110 bhp to 160 bhp. The third engine option being considered is a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine designed with LPG compatibility, although it is not expected to be available in India.
