Kawasaki KLX 230 S Launch
The premium two-wheeler manufacturer will launch the KLX 230 S in India on October 17. The Adventure motorcycle is expected to be priced under Rs. 2 lakh which will position it well against the current Xpulse 200 4V and the forthcoming Xpulse 210 which is currently in the testing phase.
Kawasaki KLX 230 S Design
The upcoming ADV motorcycle has been spotted multiple times on Indian roads, so we have a decent idea of its design as of now. The India spec KLX 230 S will remain the same as the internationally available model. It looks like a conventional off-road motorcycle with design elements such as a beak-shaped mudguard and a small headlamp. The KLX 230 S is a lightweight machine, making it ideal for riding on broken paths. You get a 21-inch spoked wheel (front), a long and well-padded seat, up-swept exhaust for better water-wading capabilities and a higher ground clearance (239mm).
Hardware and Engine
As for the hardware, the KLX 230 S will come with a 21-inch front and 18-inch spoked wheels, both wire-spoked type. For braking duties, it will feature dual-channel ABS. Coming to the engine specs, the ADV will be powered by a 233cc 2V air-cooled engine, capable of producing 20 bhp and 17 Nm of torque. The provided unit will be linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
