Upcoming Kia EV6 Facelift: First Teaser Dropped
The mid-cycle update of the Kia EV6 is coming after 3 years of launch and is coming with a tweaked headlamp and tail lamp assembly. Based on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the mid-cycle update will keep the exterior enhancements minimal while offering a beefed-up features list with a few more tweaks inside.
The Kia EV6 is getting a makeover for a sharper look. The front end will get a tweaked headlamp assembly with slimmer LED headlights for a more modern aesthetic. The signature tiger-nose grille will become more prominent, and a new front bumper will complete the refresh, creating a bolder three-dimensional effect. While the rear sees fewer changes, new taillights sans vertical elements and a redesigned rear bumper are expected. Fresh alloy wheel designs are likely to round out the exterior updates.
An upgraded infotainment system will likely offer new features and functionalities. The steering wheel design is expected to be revised, potentially for a more modern or ergonomic feel. The cabin ambiance will benefit from new upholstery options whereas Kia is also likely to tinker with the ADAS suite, potentially adding new features or functionalities for better overall performance.

Bigger Batter Pack, More Range?
The refreshed EV6 might borrow the new, larger 84 kWh battery pack from its cousin, the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5. This upgrade from the current 77.4 kWh battery could translate to a significant boost in driving range, making those longer journeys less stressful. The existing powertrain options, including single-motor and dual motor set-up, will continue with this update as well. It currently claims a range of 708 km on a single charge.
Verdict
The upcoming update of the EV6 will push it towards a better equipped model to take on the big rivals in this space. A longer battery will however remain its biggest advantage. While premium EVs are a tech-boosted affair already, the buyers are looking for more and more range from their electric movers.
