Kia brought the Seltos in the Indian market last year and the mid-size SUV is on a roll ever since. The sales number have been quite at large and even eating up the Hyundai Creta. And now at the 2020 Auto Expo, Kia Motor Company presented the beefier version of the Seltos which is termed as the X-Line.
The X-Line version is basically an aggressive form of the normal Kia Seltos and the model which was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo was in a concept form. However, if the market demands then we can expect it to be launched soon in the Indian markets.
Kia Seltos X-Line concept which was showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show gets raised suspension which now offers more ground clearance, rally lights, tweaked front and rear bumper design and a roof rack. The windows were blacked out and that is why the interiors shots could not be taken.
More visual changes on the X-Line Seltos sticks to off-roads tyres on the customised alloy wheel, front winch and orange highlights at the front and rear. This X-Line version gets powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine which churns out a maximum 177 PS along with a peak torque of 264 Nm. Transmission sticks to 7-speed DCT and it gets an all-wheel-drive system.
These above mechanical changes do not come with the X-Line Seltos Indian version. And we expect that if Kia plans to bring in this aggressive version of the Seltos then the changes will mostly stick to the exteriors and the model will be specific to the 1.4L turbo petrol engine.
The 1.4L turbo petrol motor churns out 140 bhp along with a maximum torque of 242 Nm. Transmission sticks to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The Seltos is also available in 1.5L petrol and diesel disguise. The prices for the same starts at Rs 9.89 lakh and top model sticks to Rs 17.34 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
