Kia Motors has recently marked its foray into the sub-compact SUV segment of India. The South Korean carmaker has finally launched the new 2020 Kia Sonet BS6 in India. The price of the new Sonet compact-SUV ranges between Rs. 6.71 lakhs - Rs. 11.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The buyers of the Sonet can also opt for an official accessory pack of worth 20,000 rupees. So, these are the official accessories of the new Kia Sonet sub-compact SUV. Talking about the specifications, so the Sonet borrows the BS6-compliant powertrains from the Hyundai Venue. It gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel with WGT and VGT. The 1.2-litre petrol develops 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol churns out 120 PS of power and 171 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) and a 7-speed DCT.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine with WGT pumps out 100 PS of power and 240 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Sonet also gets VGT and this motor develops 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, which is around 15 PS and 10 Nm more than its manual variants. It comes mated a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Sonet is a very feature-loaded car and it gets a bunch of segment-first features too.
