KTM 390 Adventure, Enduro, & SMC R Launch Timeline
KTM is introducing two distinct versions of the 390 Adventure for the Indian market with a focus on different sets of buyers. The 390 Adventure X, which will be the more affordable option, continues to feature alloy wheels, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup, similar to the current model. By the looks of it as well, it is a big-time upgrade over the outgoing model where it now looks more appealing with the refreshed headlamp unit and the overall aesthetics. On the other hand, the 390 Adventure S will likely come with larger, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, offering a more rugged setup for off-road enthusiasts.
KTM is set to launch these two versions of the 390 Adventure in January 2025, along with the new 390 Enduro R, which will be the brand's first Enduro bike built on the 390 platform. Additionally, KTM will introduce the 390 SMC R in India later in 2025 and this will mark the arrival of the first locally produced supermoto in the country. Details about the 390 SMC R are still scarce, and the full information will be available at the IBW itself. The bike will be equipped with 17-inch wheels, though it's unclear whether they will be spoked or alloy rims.
While the 390 Adventure X and 390 Adventure S are confirmed for the Indian market, the top-spec 390 Adventure R, with its tall seat height and premium pricing, is not currently planned for India. However, KTM may consider launching it in the future based on market demand.

Verdict
These new launches from the house of KTM will give brand a big push with the big bike segment picking up pace where buyers are ready to shell out more for their rides. However, the success of these models will depend on their positioning and the pricing, as these two factors play a big role in deciding the fate of motorcycles in a price sensitive market like ours.
