With a wait of over two years, Tata has finally decided to step up its game with the most popular electric SUV, Nexon EV, and its long range version will soon be introduced in April 2022. In this article, we will be sharing with you all the details we know about this upcoming product!
The new Nexon EV will get a larger battery pack than the current version which gets a battery capacity of just 30.2kWh. Similarly, the ARAI certified driving range will go beyond 400 km than the current 312 km. The real-world mileage of the new battery pack is expected to be 300 km and that is quite good for its pricing.
While the larger battery pack is quite good for Indian driving conditions, it will certainly take a toll on the boot as well as the overall weight of the car. The carmaker must have surely re-worked on the boot as well as the floor of the e-SUV.

Feature-wise too the Nexon EV is expected to get new equipment on the list like an electronic stability control, all-four disc brakes, new selectable re-gen modes and others. We do expect new alloy wheels design with the soon to be launched electric SUV. Features on the inside are expected to remain the same as before.
What's interesting is that with the new battery pack, Tata might provide a more powerful 6.6 kW AC charger as an option. The standard 3.3kW AC unit is provided with the current models and it charges the car to its maximum capacity in just 8-9hours. The new and optional charger might reduce the time to half.
Currently, Tata Nexon EV recently received a price hike of Rs 25,000 on all of its variants. The current prices of this electric SUV range from Rs 14.54 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. With an upgraded battery pack, the prices of the Nexon EV might go higher.
