One of the most hotly anticipated launches of this year - Mahindra ScorpioN has been spied once again with its rear being revealed in the latest pictures. The pictures come at a time when the company is gearing up for the launch of the vehicle on June 27.
Mahindra ScorpioN Rear Pictures
In the latest set of pictures, the rear end of the ScorpioN has been revealed completely. The pictures remain in line with the spy shots of the car shared earlier and confirm that the ScorpioN shall be having its rear end dominated by vertically stacked tail lamps. Just like its classic counterpart, the ScorpioN will be having a sideways-moving tailgate.

The overall proportions of ScorpioN's rear look very much in harmony with the boxy silhouette of the vehicle's design. The tail lamps add a very Volvo-Esque touch to the rear design. In addition to the rear end, pictures from other angles too have been revealed, giving a clearer look of what to expect from the ScorpioN
What to expect from ScorpioN
In terms of the interiors, the top-end variants of the ScorpioN are expected to receive a well-equipped cabin featuring front-facing 3rd-row seats, leather upholstery, sunroof, Alexa connectivity, etc. Unlike the XUV700, ADAS is not expected to make its way to the ScorpioN.

On the powertrain the front, the upcoming ScorpioN is expected to feature engines that were used on the XUV700 and the Thar albeit in a different state of tune. Both the 2.0 mStallion turbo petrol and the 2.2 mHawk diesel engine options are expected to be mated to automatic and manual gearbox options like its other two siblings. 4WD with differential lock shall be available too as an option to cater to the enthusiast crowd.
On the pricing front, the ScorpioN is expected to be placed in the range of 13-20 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Kia Carens, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Harrier, and other cars that are in a comparable price bracket.
