Mahindra Thar: Gets Costlier By Up to Rs. 43,500
The Thar offers two variants: the AX Opt and LX. Both the AX (O) hard-top diesel MT RWD and LX hard-top diesel MT RWD models have undergone a price adjustment, with each seeing a Rs. 43,500 increase. Additionally, the base LX hard-top petrol AT RWD version has been revised upwards by Rs. 28,001. As for all other versions, their prices have been raised by Rs. 16,200. Mahindra Thar: Powertrain
The Thar has been updated to meet the BS6 Phase-2 compliance standards. It's available with three engine options: a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine, delivering 150bhp and 320nm torque, a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with 130bhp and 300nm torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine in the lower trims, generating 117bhp and 300nm torque. You can choose between a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Thar 4x4 model comes with a four-wheel-drive system, while the 4x2 version does not have this feature.
Presently, the Mahindra Thar is exclusively available as a three-door model with seating for four individuals.
