Merely days after announcing the prices of the XUV700, Mahindra has today added the Luxury Pack option to the Diesel MT and AWD variants of the AX7 trim. It is noteworthy here that until this point, this optional Luxury Pack was available only on the automatic versions. Also, the carmaker had earlier said that the Luxury Pack cant be combined with the AWD option available on the Diesel Automatic variant.
While the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Diesel MT Luxury Pack costs Rs 19.99 lakh, the XUV700 AX7 Diesel AT AWD Luxury Pack costs Rs 22.89 Lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, pan-India). With this, the Luxury Pack-equipped Diesel version of the XUV700 AX7 variant is now Rs 1.6 lakh rupees more affordable than the diesel automatic model with this optional add-on pack. It must be noted here that the AX7 trim comes only with a 7-seater option, which means one still cant add this Luxury Pack to the AX5 variant.

On the other hand, with the addition of the Luxury Pack, the AWD-equipped Diesel Automatic AX7 version now costs Rs 22.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This is almost twice the base price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the XUV700 MX petrol variant. Also, it is Rs 1.3 lakh more than the non-AWD Diesel Automatic AX7 variant.
With the Luxury Pack added, the Mahindra XUV700s AX7 trim comes across as a highly feature-laden model that comes with several segment-best features such as Level 1 ADAS, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, electrically-adjustable drivers seat, 360-degree camera, 12-speaker Sony 3D sound system, blind spot detection monitor, electric parking brake, wireless smartphone charger and a driver knee airbag.

The launch of the Luxury Trim on the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Diesel AT AWD has also reduced the gap between the prices of the new Mahindra flagship and the Gold Edition of the Tata Safari XZA+ (Rs 23.18 lakh). However, its noteworthy here that the XUV700, in spite of being a tad cheaper, is better equipped and even comes with an AWD system. Powering the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Diesel variant is a 2.2-litre oil-burner that produces a maximum power of power of 185 PS and a peak torque of 420 Nm with a manual transmission and 450 Nm with an automatic transmission.
