Maruti Suzuki India has released an official invite for the launch of its new premium MPV which is most likely to be called Engage. The launch date of Maruti Engage MPV is set for July 5. It will be a rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross with the probability of some design changes to differentiate itself from the Hycross. We saw a similar strategy from Maruti & Toyota in the case of the Grand Vitara & Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Thus, in the front & rear, we expect Maruti Engage to have a bit different design than the Innova Hycross. Let's take a look at some of the details about the upcoming Maruti Engage.
Maruti Engage Premium MPV Coming On July 5
The official invite of this new Maruti vehicle says "Engage With A New League Of Luxury". The invite also has the NEXA branding. Thus, it's now confirmed that this new MPV from Maruti will come under the NEXA brand and will be the most luxurious, the most premium & the most expensive Maruti ever. Moreover, this new Maruti MPV will likely get a price tag similar to what Toyota Innova Hycross gets. That is between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom. It would become the first Rs 20 lakh plus Maruti. However, as we have seen in the case of other Toyota-Maruti collaborations like Hyryder & Grand Vitara or Glanza & Baleno, the new Maruti Engage might also get priced a bit less than the Innova Hycross.

Verdict: The new Engage is Maruti's greatest attempt to market NEXA as a premium brand with a premium range of cars. However, only time will tell how successful Maruti & NEXA is in selling a Rs 20 lakh plus MPV.
