Maruti Suzuki's entry-level cars, the S-Presso and Alto K10, have seen price reductions, but only for selected variants. This move by Indias largest automaker comes in response to consistently declining sales. Specifically, the price of the S-Presso LXi trim has been reduced by Rs 2,000, while the Alto K10 VXi variant costs Rs 6,500 less.

After the price reduction, the S-Presso LXi now costs Rs 4,99,500, down from Rs 5,01,500. As for the Maruti Alto K10, the VXi variant is now available at Rs 4,99,500, down from Rs 5,06,000. The automaker made this change, considering that these variants are the most popular among customers because they offer the best value for money.
Also, last month, ESP was made standard on all variants of the Maruti S-Presso and Alto K10. Regarding the sales decline, customers have completely shifted to the subcompact SUV segment, where the Tata Punch and Hyundai Creta have been leading the sales charts for quite some time now.
