The showstopper for Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2025 was the e-Vitara. Based on the eVX concept that was showcased at the previous edition of the auto show in 2023, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is based on Suzukis first born-electric platform developed in collaboration with Toyota.

Once it goes on sale in March 2025, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be available in two versions in India. The lower-spec version will have a front-mounted electric motor (143 bhp and 192.5 Nm) and a 49kWh battery pack, while the higher-spec version will get a more powerful front-mounted electric motor (173 bhp and 192.5 Nm) and a 61kWh battery pack. Both battery packs feature LFP blade cells sourced from BYD, and Maruti Suzuki claims a range of over 500 km.

Maruti Swift Champions Concept

The first of the Maruti Suzuki concepts showcased at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is the Swift Champions concept, a tribute to Swifts 20th anniversary in India. Based on the Metallic Sizzling Red paint scheme, this new edition of Swift gets bold racing-inspired decals on the side profile and bonnet, roof-mounted rear spoiler, and front and rear bumper skirts.

Maruti Suzukis flagship vehicle, the Invicto, also received its first-ever special edition version, the Executive Concept, at the Auto Expo 2025. The three-row Maruti Suzuki InvictoExecutive concept gets a premium-looking dual-tone black and beige theme for the upholstery in the cabin, while also featuring a Bluish Black paint scheme from other NEXA cars.

Maruti Brezza Powerplay Concept

The highest-selling SUV from Maruti Suzuki, the Brezza also got a new Powerplay concept, which looks bold and sporty targeting the younger hearts. The new Brezza Powerplay Concept has a new orange exterior paint scheme with body graphics on the side panels, along with additional accessories like front and rear bumper garnish and side body moldings.

Maruti Jimny Conqueror Concept

Maruti Suzukis dedicated four-wheel drive off-roader SUV Jimny was also showcased in its Conqueror Concept avatar. Finished in a new desert matte paint scheme with bold graphics on the side body panels, the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny Conqueror Concept also features all-terrain tires over desert matte alloy wheels and off-road focussed accessories. The list of these accessories includes front bumper garnish, a front-mounted winch, a roof carrier, a jerry can, and a shovel mounted on the tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

Maruti Grand Vitara Adventure Concept

Further enhancing the exclusivity of offering an all-wheel drive variant in the premium compact SUV category, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Adventure Concept version was also on display at the Auto Expo 2025. This more rugged-looking version of the Grand Vitara AWD SUV is finished in a commanding military green paint scheme, while getting a blacked-out finish for the alloy wheels, outside rearview mirrors and door handles. It also has adventure-themed graphics on the side panels and 4x4 AllGrip badging.

Maruti Fronx Turbo Concept

Based on the turbo variant of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Turbo Concept of the compact crossover displayed at the Auto Expo 2025 has a new silver paint scheme and huge Turbo decals on the side profile. Other highlights of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo Concept are blacked-out alloy wheels and outside rearview mirrors, front and rear bumper garnish and red accents on the blacked-out front grille.

Maruti Dzire Urban Luxe Concept

Maruti Suzuki

The simplest-looking one among all the concept editions from Maruti Suzuki showcased at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Dzire Urban Luxe Concept has chrome add-on accessories, including chrome garnish for the front grille surrounds, rear bumper and body side mouldings.

Verdict

With the e-Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is gunning at all the other compact and midsize electric vehicles, including the newly-launched Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the MG ZS EV. Given Maruti Suzukis leadership in the Indian car market, the e-Vitara is expected to rake in more popularity for electric vehicles in the country. Also, the concept models showcased by Maruti Suzuki might be launched as limited-edition models sometime soon. Stay tuned to 91Wheels for more updates.
