Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has increased the prices of its small hatchback, the Celerio. The price hike ranges from Rs 16,000 to Rs 32,500 depending on the model chosen. 2025 Maruti Suzuki Celerio - Safety Update
With the new price hike, the Celerio brings in 6 airbags as standard fitment across all variants. It has become the third Maruti Suzuki Arena car to offer 6 airbags as standard, and we can expect other Maruti cars to receive this update soon. Additionally, if we talk about other features, the Celerio continues to get the same convenience and safety features as before.
2025 Maruti Celerio - Price Hike
The 2025 Celerio starts at Rs 5.64 lakh (ex-showroom) and has received a hike ranging from Rs 16,000 to Rs 32,500. The base LXI MT variant is now Rs 27,500 costlier, while the VXI MT & VXI CNG MT variants have become Rs 16,000 more expensive, and the top-spec ZXI & ZXI+ MT has also seen a hike of Rs 27,500. Moreover, the VXI AMT has received a hike of Rs 21,000, and the highest hike is received by the ZXI+ AMT variant has seen the highest increase of Rs 32,500 more expensive. The ZXI AMT variant is the only variant in the lineup that comes with the same price tag as before.
The Maruti Suzuki Celerio continues to get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol engine producing 67 bhp of power and 91.1 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option.

With the recent update, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio has become more safer and more loaded. The brand may soon add 6 airbags as standard fitment. The price hike might deter some of the potential customers, it is justified by the addition enhanced safety feature. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio competes with the Tata Tiago and other small hatchbacks.
