Maruti Suzuki eVX: A Collaborative Leap Into The Future With Toyota
At the recent Bharat Mobility Show, Maruti Suzuki showcased the eVX model in its production-ready prototype form. This electric SUV will be produced at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat's (SMG) Hansalpur facility.
What's particularly interesting is that Maruti Suzuki is collaborating with Toyota on the eVX project. Alongside Maruti Suzuki's version, Toyota will also introduce its own variant of this electric SUV. However, Toyota's version will draw design inspiration from the Urban SUV. Both models will share the same platform, which is based on Toyotas 27PL skateboard architecture.
It is expected that the parts of this car will be locally sourced, indicating a high degree of localization in its production. This move not only makes the vehicles more accessible within India but also ensures their availability for export. Europe is likely to be one of the first export destinations for these electric SUVs.
