Maruti Suzuki announced the launch of a new Metaverse Platform -"ARENAVerse" for their network of Arena showrooms. With this, it is looking forward to having a strong digital footprint in the World of Metaverse. The users can virtually tour the Arena showrooms and experience Maruti cars without having to step out of their homes. It would go live on the first day of the New Year 2023. This is their second metaverse platform after Nexaverse, which is specific to their Nexa outlets. which retails the Maruti Grand Vitara, Baleno, Ciaz, Ignis, and XL6.

"We set the wheels of the metaverse in motion with NEXAverse which has been a resounding success, with over 10,000 bookings for the Grand Vitara coming from the NEXAverse alone. With ARENAVerse, we have taken this digital journey a notch up, by bringing the countrys largest auto retail network ARENA to the Metaverse and ensuring that our customers digital experiences are as personalized and dynamic as possible, said Shashank Srivastava Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Maruti says that ArenaVerse will be suitable for new-age digital customers and would make for a better buying experience. They have revamped 700 Arena dealerships and placed VR (Virtual Reality) headsets for enabling the ArenaVerse experience. It is the second Indian carmaker to release its virtual platform after Mahindra.
On top of that, Maruti claims that customers would also be able to interact virtually with the sales representative in the future.
Additionally, users can also experience the Virtual tour through the official MS Arena website on their devices. It will help car buyers to experience the cars like Maruti Alto, Maruti Swift, WagonR, and Dzire from their homes as well.
Interestingly, In 2021 Maruti has digitized a range of 24 out of 26 steps of car buying for a better customer experience. Also introducing services like the MS - Chatbot, and S- Assist, offers some more fluidity.

Verdict- With the introduction of their second Metaverse platform, Maruti Suzuki is pivoting towards the new online shopping experience in immersive virtual reality. It would make up for the hassle of visiting the showrooms and overcoming geographical boundations. Mahindra has already introduced its Metaverse Platform for its XUV400. With the expansion of the world of Metaverse, it can expect some more new players.
