Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance
The German car maker has made sure that this car makes its sporty intentions well known, with bits such as the Panamericana grille, a slightly unconventional-looking air scoop on the bonnet, the 20-inch AMG cross-spoke forged alloy rims, side skirts, a large diffuser at the rear, and trapezoidal quad-exhaust pipes. This car is also longer than the regular C-Class by 83mm, while the wheelbase has grown by 10mm. Track width has also gone up by 76mm.
Under the hood of this car lies a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which works in tandem with an electric motor placed on the rear axle, along with a 6.1kWh battery pack that can be charged via a 3.7kW onboard AC charger.
Altogether, this powertrain produces a combined output of 670bhp and a mammoth 1020Nm of torque, with a 0-100kmph time of just 3.4 seconds, while reaching an electronically-restricted top speed of 280kmph. Also, not that it should really matter here, but this car also gets an electric-only range of 13km.
Speaking of the interiors, Mercedes-Benz says that the C 63 S E Performance gets multiple Nappa leather upholstery options, along with a redesigned second-gen AMG Performance Seat as an option. The MBUX infotainment system comes with both AMG and hybrid-specific display screens.
Some other features include track data logger, eight driving modes, four regen levels, a drift mode, rear-axle steering, the AMG Ride Control Suspension with adaptive damping, and a 'track pace' function which helps in optimising lap times with the use of the electric motor's power.
Bookings for the C 63 S E Performance begin today, with deliveries set to commence from the second-quarter of 2025.
